FineCut® cartridges produce a narrower kerf on thin mild steel and stainless steel up to 3 mm (10 gauge) which is ideal for fine detail cutting.

30–45 A FineCut hand cartridges are compatible with: SmartSYNC™ torches for the Powermax65/85/105 SYNC™ systems 

They also can be used on Duramax® torches using a torch adapter (428951) for Powermax45® XP/65/85/105 systems, however, data storage and cartridge ID are not compatible with Duramax torches.

The cartridge stores information on its usage within its own internal chip, including arc starts, transfers and hours used, this can be read by fitting the cartridge to the SmartSYNC torch, info is then displayed on the power source screen. Alternatively, the data can be read by using the optional 528083 cartridge reader and smartphone app.

Using the new range of Hypertherm SmartSYNC cartridges improves consumable life by allowing all parts used in the traditional 5-piece stack up to wear at equal rates. Using a combination of part worn and new consumables on the same cutting torch reduces the overall life of the consumable stack.
